Merck & Co., Schering-Plough to complete merger

Merck & Co. and Schering-Plough announced they will complete their $41.1-billion merger Tuesday, and begin combined operations Wednesday.

The announcement follows clearance from regulatory authorities in China and Mexico. The companies had already received approval from authorities in the US, Canada and Switzerland, as well as in Europe.
