Shionogi files peramivir for approval in Japan

Shionogi announced on Wednesday that it filed for approval of its experimental influenza treatment peramivir in Japan.

The regulatory filing, which the company said was the first for the drug in any market, seeks approval for use of the intravenous neuraminidase inhibitor in patients with seasonal influenza, and also those at high risk.
